Clemson architecture professor and associate dean of research and graduate studies for the College of Arts, Architecture and Humanities, talks about the life and experiences of Muslim scholar, Omar ibn Said. Said was captured as a slave and brought to America where his “handwriting on the wall” of a jail cell opened eyes and created debates that continue to this day.
